Thanks :]“Like a rich jewel in an Ethiope's ear; beauty too rich for use” How can I analyse this?
Romeo is using hyperbole to describe Juliet's beauty. It doesn't have to be broken down word for word to Analise it. Just equate it to someone saying, ';she's absolutely to die for';“Like a rich jewel in an Ethiope's ear; beauty too rich for use” How can I analyse this?
Pick out individual words, and ask yourself why the author chose certain words...why is ';rich'; used twice? It would have been easy to use a different word. What exactly does ';beauty too rich for use'; mean? The first part of the sentence is a simile...if you have spotted that you need to interpret why. Hint: there are no wrong interpretations (or analyses) as long as they use the text as evidence. This means you can almost make stuff up...as long as it sounds good!
