What would a career in the beauty industry be called?

i would like to work with hair, make-up and waredrobe. im trying to find a school for that but i dont really know what to look for.. what would the career be called?.. would it be cosmetology or something else?..What would a career in the beauty industry be called?
A stylist. Schooling would be cosmetology and fashion.

You could be a cosmotologist or an esthetician. You can take esthetics courses at many colleges.





Esthetician


An aesthetician (or esthetician) specializes in the study of skin care, including facial treatments, body wraps (relaxing treatments which involve hot linens, plastic sheets, and blankets), salt glows (an exfoliation treatment), waxing as a form of hair removal, and cosmetic make-up services. Some aestheticians work with dermatologists to offer more services, including laser hair removal, laser skin resurfacing, microdermabrasion, and many types of chemical peels.





An esthetician can be licensed solely for that skill. An esthetician is not neccesarily licensed in cosmetology, but is typically well versed in knowledge of skin care.
Beautician as a generalisation, or if you go for something specific, you're usually called what department you are from, such as make-up, hair, or wardrobe. On TV thats how it works anyway. Someone yells the department, and some poor harassed sod runs over to help. And you would normally specialise in one department rather than three.
cosmetology would be for the hair and make-up the wardorbe would be more design





you should try FIT the fashion institute. Most towns have a beauty school that doesnt cost too much that will get you certified in cosmetology
beautician or cosomotologist for the hair and make up. wardrobe would be fashion design. try to find a school where you can major in one and still take the other one.
For hair and makeup I'd say Stylist or cosmetology and for the wardrobe part I'd say fashion designer.
