3 reasons why beauty pageants are harmful to little girls?

1.) teaches them to be brats, like they whine and complain and get away with it

2.) makes them grow up too fast ( I once saw a three year old getting a spray on tan)

3.) It puts a picture of fake beauty in their heads3 reasons why beauty pageants are harmful to little girls?
PageantMommy - I don't mean to be rude but I think you need to look at it from both sides. Sure, things seem fine and dandy from your point of view, but how do you think you'd feel if you were forced to enter a pageant and continue doing them? I see where you are coming from, but open up a little :) Report Abuse
3 reasons why beauty pageants are harmful to little girls?
1. they give them the wrong view of whats beautiful

2. it's really weird and kids shouldnt grow up that way

3. the people are like crazy and really fake, and there are way more people in the world who dont look like that
1. they think they have to compete to be beautiful

2. winners think everyone finds them beautiful, losers feel like they are ugly and incompetent

3. it teaches them that you have to be pretty to win and have people like you
1. Think that beauty is everything.

2. Anyone can be leaders, not just pretty girls.

3. Intelligence is the real beauty, but the beauty pageants teach them the other way around.

I honestly have no idea why beauty pageants were created.
ughh.

puts a distorted image of beauty

in their heads

hmmm thtz all i can think

of. lol.
-they make them feel like they need to look a certain way at such a young age

-more weight on their shoulders then there should be. considering pageants for little girls judge almost the same as those in the older categories.

-they feel they have to be capable of more than they actually meant to.. due to most mothers who push their daughters to an awful limit ..
1. they get to be like little clones

2. their parents always turn out to be like drill sergents

3. no one liks them cuz they act so perfect
1)If they lose, they feel hurt. And that they aren't good enough.

2) They make them feel they have to be perfect.

3)Most of the time they're forced into them, and usually, they actually DON'T want to do them.
1. They cant experience a normal childhood

2. They become either extremely cocky and superficial or have low selfesteem and are still superficial.

3. They become fake and competitive
1. Objectification

2. Teaching them beauty %26gt; brains

3. Making them grow up too soon
I can't think of ANYTHING!!!

Pageants are an awesome and invuluable tool for pareants! They teach self confidence, poise, and contrary to popular belief, that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes!!!! ALL little girls love to play dress up, so why bash the ones who do it for more than fun?
