What is the key to beauty. What is the key to looking beautiful?

And yes we do know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but what is it that your eye views as beauty.

AND WHY do you think that is beautiful?

This was a question that just crossed my mind...i don't know why, but it just didWhat is the key to beauty. What is the key to looking beautiful?
Actually, my ideas about beauty have changed completely since I reverted to Islam. For years, I felt pressured to conform to the western idea of physical beauty. I felt like I failed at it and sometimes on purpose. I hate the obsession with white teeth, having no wrinkles, having no gray hair, etc., etc.. In the west, we are getting more and more shallow, imho.

there are cultures where elders are revered and respected. Wrinkles, white hair and all the other signs of aging can point the way to someone who has had a lot of years to gather wisdom. What happened to ';elders'; in the US? We consider the elderly a poor fashion statement.

In Islam, modesty and humility matter more. I no longer feel I'm in need of a face lift or a closet full of expensive clothes. And that gives me a lot more time to focus on God and on sharing what I have versus hoarding things. What is the key to beauty. What is the key to looking beautiful?
Well, the first thing to say is (and I know it's a bit of a lame cliche) that everyone is/can be beautiful...

First of all, I think you have to wear good clothes - not entirely mainstream but not too different.

You need to make the most of makeup - tinted moisturiser is really good to make your skin look nice without looking like you have make-up on; whilst mascara automatically brightens your eyes and whole face really, along with a little lipgloss.

And then, as long as you always appear to be smiling and confident, you will be beautiful.

In a way, to be beautiful, you have to not think about ';being beautiful'; and just accept who you are and love it.

2 girls can looks identical, but if ones moody and obsessed with being beautiful and being in the ';in-circle'; and the others smily, confident and doesn't care about trying to be beautiful, it's fairly obvious who IS the more beautiful.

If that makes any sense at all, I hope I helped.
Cleanliness, modesty, happiness, simplicity...is beauty. Make up doesn't make you beautiful. Your natural beauty is all you need. As long as you are clean, inside and out - ie clean heart, clean appearance, and clean speech. Washing your face and body, brushing your teeth, combing your hair, that's beauty. Love is beauty, faith is beauty. Cleanliness, modesty, politeness is beauty.
Scientists tell us that symmetry is the answer. That men and women around the world, from every culture and with every type of taste are drawn to people with the most symmetrical faces. Why? Some subconscious idea of perfection maybe, I'm not sure. Mind you, there are some exceptions, like Marilyn Monroe's mole, where the asymmetry provides a point of attraction.

Outside of this, I think the key is in highlighting your best traits and masking your worst traits. For example, I think my eyes are my best trait, so I wear glasses that frame them (I mean, I need the glasses, but I chose a pair that made my eyes stand out more).

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, is liking who you are. If you are happy with yourself, this shows. You have a vitality that is obvious and attractive to people around you. We've all seen otherwise attractive people that we don't care to look at or be near, on account of the rain cloud that seems to be following them, the down turned mouth, the frown, the hunched shoulders. But sometimes we look at someone and we just can't define what it is about them that we think makes them attractive. Typically these are happy people.
its known that beauty is proportion.

in order for your face to be beautiful, the proportion from you forehead to eyes is supposed to be the same as eyes to nose which is supposed to be the same as nose to chin.

so top of your head to top of your nose equal to top of nose to top of mouth, to bottom mouth equal to bottom chin.

its a really intelligent question!
Ha ha Janie B. What a great statement. I'm an Iranian and that is exactly what we say about the Arab women who cover their faces. I'm glad the Europeans think the same.

Still the secret to beauty is being happy and content. Taking a little pride in one's appearance, not leaving the house until you're satisfied you look your best.
I don't judge by people's appearances, but after a while I get to know them and judge them by their inner beauty.

And if you think about it, a smile is all it takes to be beautiful because it lights up your whole face.
ISLAM IS THE KEY FOR US TO BE BEAUTIFUL WITHIN. YOU NEED NOTHING ELSE BUT GOD AND HIS BLESSED FAITH HE SENT TO US IN THE HOLY BOOK.THE QUR'AN.

WE HAVE TO ALWAYS STRIVE TO BE GOD SINCERELY. ALWAYS CHALLENGE THE DEVIL BY WITH DRAWING FROM HE'S EVILS THAT HE WISHES TO CURSE YOU WITH. ALWAYS FEAR GOD IN OUR ACTONS.

WITH DRAW AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE FROM MATERIALS AND THINGS THAT CAN LESSEN OUR FAITH.

BASICALLY DO OUR BEST TO FOLLOW WHAT GOOD HAS ORDERED AND TO KNOW THAT THIS IS PARAMOUNT.

THE END LINE IS ALL WILL BE GONE FROM WEALTH TO SELF WILL. ALL WILL BE LEFT IS YOUR SINS AND GOOD DEEDS STANDING BEFORE THE MOST HIGH THE MOST MIGHTY THE ONLY GOD WHO WILL CHOOSE YOUR PLACE IN THE AFTER LIFE.

READ THE QUR'AN MUCH E.G. ONE HOUR A DAY AFTER PRAYING THE EARLY MORNING PRAY B4 SUNRISE.

May we be forgiven. May we better ourselves. May we always please God.
in order to b beautiful a person should take care of themselves. drink water, eat healthy, don't stress over things you can't change, do good n not evil.
Beauty has two sides or forms: There is physical beauty and beautiful personality. A person with true beauty has both, meaning you not only enjoy looking at them but you enjoy speaking with them (enjoy their company).
I never think a person is ugly. Everyone is beautiful in their own way. Beauty isn't always appearance-wise.
i see beauty in people with high spirit

i see it also in the physical beauty (handsome boy or cute girl) but spirit comes first

you have to feel beautiful.. confidence..

then you have to take care of your skin

sleep at least 8 hours a day

keep very clean

be educated

if you apply make up don't overdo it
Beauty is only skin deep. It is what that person holds in their heart is what counts.
Beauty is when someone is comfortable in their own skin.

i think the real beauty doesn't exists::D

do your homework instead of asking.
Your either born with it and got the key, or you haven't.
a smile is beautiful all you need to wear is that.
i really dont care what somebody looks like unless they're a nice person. i think that their personality can be beautiful.
I agree with that evilwahhab thingy.....for the first time he/she said something that is true.

doing your own washing lol
dont stand in front of the mirror too much
love of Allah is radiant from our faces
Well seeing as muslim women cover their faces to hide their ugliness it can't be piety. I should think a healthy lifestyle, plenty of fresh air, red wine and sex helps.
